In which areas can it be considered?
Regenerative injections most commonly come to the fore in the musculoskeletal system, scalp, and selected dermatological applications. Knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, tendon, and ligament tissues; scalp; face and skin; selected wound and soft tissue problems have different levels of scientific evidence. The same biological product is not prepared in the same way for every area and is not used for the same indication.

First, we clarify the diagnosis; we evaluate the physical examination, imaging, and the patient’s general health status together. Then, we address whether PRP, SVF, or another cellular approach is genuinely meaningful for that clinical problem, along with alternative treatments, rehabilitation needs, and current regulations. In advanced cellular products, the decision to apply must be evaluated together with product specifications and indication-based authorization conditions.
How do we interpret the scientific evidence?
For PRP, clinical data is more extensive, particularly in knee osteoarthritis and certain tendon/hair applications. In SVF and stromal cell approaches, some randomized trials and systematic reviews have reported positive signals regarding symptoms and function; nevertheless, preparation protocols, cell content, dosage, and patient selection vary from study to study. For this reason, it should not be assumed that a single cell therapy is suitable for everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Is PRP stem cells?
No. PRP is platelet-rich plasma obtained from the patient’s own blood; it is not a stem cell product.
Is SVF stem cells?
SVF is a heterogeneous mixture of cellular and stromal components derived from adipose tissue. It is not the same as a pure, culture-expanded mesenchymal stem cell product.
Can the procedures be performed under ultrasound guidance?
In joint, tendon, and certain soft tissue injections, ultrasound can facilitate visualizing the target tissue and planning the needle path. The necessity varies depending on the region and the clinical situation.
