Mesotherapy and regenerative aesthetics guide
Mesotherapy is a group of personalized approaches encompassing the administration of active ingredients selected according to the needs of the skin or scalp via an appropriate method. The purpose of hyaluronic acid, polynucleotide/PDRN, and other selected ingredients is not the same; the product’s structure, route of administration, target tissue, and level of evidence must be evaluated together.
General information about mesotherapy
Skin mesotherapy and regenerative applications
Our approach at our Bodrum clinic
Instead of administering the same “cocktail” to every individual, we evaluate skin type, hydration, pigmentation, fine line appearance, tissue quality, the cause of hair loss, and previous procedures together. In product selection, we prioritize ingredients, medical/cosmetic status, appropriate route of administration, and safety profile over brand.
Mesotherapy and fillers are not the same thing
While mesotherapy and skin booster applications are predominantly planned with goals of skin quality, hydration, and regeneration; the primary aim in hyaluronic acid filler applications is volume, contour, or anatomical shaping. Therefore, they should not be evaluated under the same heading.
Safety and evaluation
Prior to the procedure, the ingredients of the product used, route of administration, allergy history, active skin diseases, infection, bleeding tendency, and concomitant treatments must be evaluated. The expected benefits and potential side effects vary according to the selected method.
Frequently asked questions about mesotherapy
Are mesotherapy and fillers the same thing?
No. While the primary goal in mesotherapy and skin booster applications is skin quality, hydration, and regenerative support, filler applications prioritize volume and anatomical contour.
Are Salmon DNA, PN/PDRN, and skin boosters the same product group?
No. Although their clinical goals may overlap in similar areas, they are different groups in terms of ingredients, biological effect, application plan, and level of evidence.
Why is the cause of hair loss investigated first in hair mesotherapy?
Because androgenetic hair loss, telogen effluvium, iron or thyroid issues, and scalp diseases are not managed with the same approach. The underlying cause must be identified before supportive treatment.
