Subcutaneous hyaluronic acid and bioremodeling
In subcutaneous hyaluronic acid applications, the goal is not always to provide volume. With selected formulations, a bioremodeling approach that supports skin hydration, elasticity, and tissue quality can be planned.
The difference between fillers, skin boosters, and bioremodeling
Structural fillers primarily target volume and contour; skin boosters target hydration and superficial skin quality; while the bioremodeling approach aims to support tissue quality without creating noticeable contour changes. Product characteristics and injection techniques may differ from one another.
Which ingredients do we prefer?
For appropriate indications, we prefer medical preparations primarily based on hyaluronic acid developed for tissue quality. When necessary, regenerative skin treatments such as PN/PDRN can be evaluated as separate protocols.
For patients hesitant about needles
Bioremodeling products developed for injection are administered in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for use. Needle-free methods are not automatically equivalent to these products. In cases of needle anxiety, comfort-enhancing methods and appropriate alternative skin treatments can be discussed.
Frequently asked questions
Is bioremodeling the same thing as filler?
No. In bioremodeling approaches, the goal is to support skin hydration, elasticity, and tissue quality rather than providing noticeable volume.
Which areas can it be applied to?
The face, neck, décolleté, and other selected areas can be evaluated according to the product’s indications and the individual’s anatomical needs.
Our approach at our Bodrum clinic
We distinguish between the need for volume and the need for skin quality; rather than unnecessary filler volume, we choose the method appropriate for the patient’s anatomy.
