Personalized Bach Remedy Selection

Short answerPersonalized Bach selection is performed by evaluating dominant emotional patterns and is not used as a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatments.

In the Bach Flower approach, individualized selection differs from simply choosing a product based on the name of a complaint. The answer to questions such as “Which Bach flower is right for me?”, “How is the Bach flower test done?” is based on distinguishing the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns that are dominant for the person during that period and selecting from among the 38 essences in the traditional Bach system.

1

Identify the Emotion

Determine the emotional pattern that is most challenging during that period.

2

Match the 38 Flowers

Narrow down the appropriate essences in the traditional Bach classification.

3

Make a Medical Distinction

Prioritize symptoms that require professional evaluation.

4

Monitor

Track through subjective well-being and daily functioning.

How is the evaluation done?

  1. Main topic: The emotional state that is most challenging during that period is identified.
  2. Accompanying patterns: Accompanying themes such as fear, indecision, mental loops, resentment, excessive responsibility, loneliness, or difficulty adapting are differentiated.
  3. Medical red flags: Conditions that require professional psychiatric or medical evaluation are prioritized.
  4. Selection: A limited number of essences are selected from within the traditional Bach matches.
  5. Follow-up: Subjective well-being, daily functioning, and tolerability are monitored.

Online evaluation

In the Test Yourself approach, an individualized evaluation can be performed using a 38-question form. This form is not a medical diagnostic test; it is used to structure the emotional matching in the Bach system.

Scientific limitation

Evidence supporting a specific clinical effect of Bach flowers is limited, and superiority over placebo has not been demonstrated in areas examined in controlled trials. For this reason, individualized selection should also be considered a complementary well-being approach.
