What is L-Carnosine IV?

Although laboratory and oral use studies exist for carnosine, the routine clinical benefit of IV carnosine has not been demonstrated.

How does it work?

It is a histidine-containing dipeptide; its buffering, metal-binding, and carbonyl stress-related effects are investigated.

When can it be considered?

Claims regarding aging, performance, or neurological support do not prove IV efficacy. It should only be evaluated within an experimental framework.

Level of evidence

D – experimental.

Safety and patient selection

It should not be administered without verifying sterile IV preparation, concentration, pharmacokinetic, and safety data.

Our Approach at Our Bodrum Clinic

We consider this application only after the pharmaceutical properties of the product are verified and the patient’s medical history, current medications, kidney and liver functions, necessary electrolyte-micronutrient measurements, and relevant contraindications are evaluated. We plan IV therapy not as an alternative to standard treatment, but as a complementary or replacement approach when a genuine clinical justification exists.

Important note

This page is for general informational purposes; it is not a personalized diagnosis, prescription, or administration protocol. An administration should not be planned without verifying the label, concentration, excipient, licensing, stability, and compatibility information of the IV product.
