What is IV Inositol?
There are data on oral inositol in PCOS and metabolic fields; there is no evidence of routine clinical efficacy for IV inositol.
How does it work?
It is part of phosphatidylinositol signaling systems and cellular second messenger pathways.
When can it be considered?
The literature on oral myo-inositol or D-chiro-inositol does not indicate that IV administration is effective. IV use should be considered experimental.
Level of evidence
D – experimental.
Safety and patient selection
It should not be administered without verifying the form, concentration, sterility, pharmacokinetics, and clinical indication.
Our Approach at Our Bodrum Clinic
We consider this application only after verifying the pharmaceutical properties of the product and evaluating the patient’s medical history, medications used, kidney and liver functions, necessary electrolyte-micronutrient measurements, and relevant contraindications. We plan IV therapy not as an alternative to standard treatment, but as a complementary or replacement approach when a genuine clinical justification exists.
Important note
This page is for general informational purposes; it is not a personalized diagnosis, prescription, or administration protocol. Administration should not be planned without verifying the label, concentration, excipients, licensing, stability, and compatibility information of the IV product.
