Purpose and scope
The purpose of the medical content on this website is to provide clear, up-to-date, and referenced information to patients, their relatives, and readers interested in health. The content is not a substitute for personal diagnosis or treatment; clinical decisions are made based on an individual’s history, physical examination, diagnostic tests, and physician evaluation.
Authorship and medical review
Medical content is prepared based on Dr. Kerem Çağlayan’s clinical approach and current scientific literature. On pages covering treatments, diseases, supplements, devices, and scientific research, author/medical review information and the date of the last review are visibly indicated whenever possible.
New or updated content is reviewed for medical accuracy, language, risk communication, and source consistency prior to publication. In areas of uncertainty, definitive language is not used; preclinical, observational, and randomized human data are distinguished from one another.
Our sourcing approach
Priority is given to peer-reviewed scientific publications, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, official institutions, clinical guidelines, and primary research articles. Popular news or social media posts are not used alone as medical evidence; whenever possible, the original study is consulted.
In evaluations of scientific research, study design, the presence of human data, sample size, effect size, reproducibility, clinical relevance, and limitations are evaluated together.
Level of evidence and Trust Index
In the Scientific Research section, content is not presented solely based on positive outcomes. The study’s methodological strength, human data, sample size, study design, consistency of results, and independent verification status are addressed collectively. Where appropriate, “Level of Evidence” and “Trust Index” are used to help the reader evaluate the data within context.
Standard structure of scientific research pages
In new scientific research evaluations, the following flow is used: What did the study investigate? → How was it conducted? → What was found? → Limitations of the study → What does it mean clinically? → What do we not know yet? → Source.
Balance and safety in treatment content
A treatment page does not describe only potential benefits. Where appropriate, for whom it may be considered, for whom it may not be suitable, alternative approaches, the expected course, potential risks, and follow-up requirements are also explained. Rather than branding, promotional, or “only correct method” language, priority is given to the target tissue, clinical indication, safety, and personal suitability.
Updating content
Because medical literature can change, important pages are updated when there is a new guideline, safety alert, study, or change in clinical approach. The “Last medical review” date indicates the date when the content was last comprehensively reviewed; merely changing the date is not considered an update.
Correction policy
If a factual error, incorrect reference, statement altering meaning, or outdated information is identified in any content, the content is corrected. In the event of clinically significant changes, the update date is renewed. Readers can report errors or sourcing questions via the contact page.
Use of artificial intelligence and digital tools
Digital and artificial intelligence-assisted tools may be used for auxiliary tasks such as organizing literature searches, structuring content, language review, or technical publishing processes. Artificial intelligence outputs are not accepted as standalone medical sources. Medical claims are verified with reliable sources, and editorial responsibility remains with the physician’s evaluation.
Commercial independence and conflicts of interest
Medical content is not prepared as advertising copy. If there is sponsorship, commercial collaboration, or a disclosable conflict of interest related to any content or product, the aim is to state this clearly within the relevant content. The presence of a product or device name does not, by itself, imply a claim of clinical superiority.
Distinction between clinical decisions and web content
The information on the website is intended for general informational purposes. In particular, medications, injections, intravenous applications, interventional procedures, hormones, peptides, cellular therapies, and chronic disease management require individual evaluation. In the presence of emergency symptoms, emergency medical services must be consulted rather than web content.
